Promoting Peace, Unity, Development : Nguti Reiterates Support For Paul Biya

The Minister, Assistant Secretary General at the Presidency, Elung Paul Che on Saturday, 14 October, 2023, wrapped up his tour of the Kupe Muanenguba with a call for peace.

There was an overflow of persons of varied age groups at the Nguti ceremonial ground on Saturday October 14, 2023 as an illustrious son of Kupe Muanenguba, Elung Paul Che concluded his ‘meet-the-people’ and peace crusade tour of the Division. Traditional dance groups from Nguti and beyond, CPDM party members alongside the population thronged the venue to welcome the Minister, Assistant Secretary General at the Presidency who was accompanied by the S.D.O of Kupe Muanenguba, William Mungambo Ekema and a host of other elite of the Division. 
While addressing the population, Minister Elung told his kin and kindred that he came with a message of peace. His peace crusade which started in Tombel then Bangem and Nguti focused on three critical issues affecting the Division. The negative impact of the ongoing socio-political crisis in the two English-speaking regions, the dangerous effects of school disruptions and the need for unity among Kupe Muanenguba elite. While tracing the genesis of the crisis and what government has done so far to resolve the Anglophone crisis, Minister Elung said there is need to break the cycle of silence and keep striving for life to return to normalcy in the Division especially in Nguti Subdivision where the situation remains precarious. “Nguti needs to level up! Let’s talk to ourselves and give peace a chance so our division can continue to aspire for greater development,” he averred, while appealing to the consciences of those still carrying arms to drop them and take advantage of the “safe sanctuary” provided by the Head of State for those who voluntarily drop their arms.
