Business : International Investors Forum took Place

The event, which ran from October 25-26, saw investors creating more opportunities for investments in Cameroon and abroad.

The 4th edition of the International Investors Forum took place in Douala from the 25-26 of October, under the theme: "Import Substitution in Cameroon : opportunities, challenges and financing mechanism". For two days the over 200 investors present at the event shared experiences, network, and created more investment opportunities within and without.
Under the chairmanship of the Minister in charge of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (MINMIDT), the forum was organized by the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts of (CCIMA). The United Kingdom was the guest country of honor during this 4th, reason why the British High Commissioner to Cameroon, HE Dr. Christian Dennys-McClure, in collaboration with the UK Chamber of Commerce- K-Cameroon, led a delegation of British businessmen and private investors to Cameroon.
While opening the International Investors Forum in Douala on October 25, the interim Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Pr Fuh Calistus Gentry, reiterated that the government is out to ensure that public private partnership is effective. He said the fourth edition has witness an increase in projects as there were 157 projects amounting to CFA 120 billion, as compared to the previous edition that had 82 projects costing CFA 120 billion.
