North West : Senator Mbofung Rewards Outstanding Students

Senator Carl Mbofung of Ngoketunjia Division in the North West Region, has rewarded some 19 students who excelled in science and technology-related disciplines in Ngoketunjia during 2022/2023 GCE end-of-course examinations. The recognition falls within the pioneer phase of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) project which is aimed at building a solid foundation for students who will in the future be solving most of the problems emerging from the changing times. Senator Carl Mbofung 's STEM scholarship and excellence award for 2022 /2023 cost close to FCFA 5 million consisting of   cash, tablets, medical fee, bags and transportation to enable the children continue their education hitch-free. The laureates received cash prizes ranging from FCFA 50,000 to FCFA 60,000 following their performance. The event at the North West Regional Delegation of Secondary Education on October 28, 2023 brought together sons and daughters of Ngoketunjia striving to promote theirs. 
Senator Carl Mbofung revealed that the occasion was organised to celebrate and reward the best students who excelled in STEM related GCE examinations while studying under difficult conditions in the Division. "It is not a hidden fact that in recent years our two English Regions have been confronted with unprecedented levels of crisis that has destroyed the lives of countless individuals leaving many fleeing helpless and uncertain about their future" Said Senator Carl Mbofung.
