Cameroon-La Francophonie : Conviviality At Cultural Diner

Offered by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on behalf of the Head of State on November 4, 2023, personalities savoured the country’s rich heritage.

An official diner was on November 4, 2023 offered in honour of the Secretary General of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo, other officials and delegates in Cameroon for the 44th Ministerial Conference of the institution which began on November 3, 2023 and ended yesterday November 5, 2023 under the theme, "Good Governance: A Guarantee for Political, Economic and Cultural Stability for Francophone Citizens". The official diner was offered by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on behalf of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya at the Yaounde Hilton hotel. The cultural diner was an opportunity for Cameroon to display its rich diversity and heritage under the coordinating of the Ministry of Arts and Culture. Typical dance patterns from the four cultural zones of Cameroon were displayed to the viewing pleasure of the dignitaries. Songs and poetry adapted to the principles of La Francophonie and the theme of the 44th Ministerial Conference, were other interludes that spiced the evening. 
In toast by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, the cultural diner night was an effort by Cameroon to offer a relaxed atmosphere to personalities who have been reflecting during the first day of conclave in Yaounde and prepare them for other debates. To the Prime Minister, the rich cultural diversity of Cameroon is an aspect of its multiculturalism, strongly promoted by the Head of State.
