Agro-Industries : NW Enterprises Equipped For Quality Production

Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises have been distributed equipment while consultants handed over International Labour Organisation certificates to accompany them.


In the coming days, some 50 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the North West Region will produce more agricultural products in quantity and quality, supply them in supermarkets and other markets both within Cameroon and abroad and also have access to more financing. This will be the logical results of the twin ceremony that took place at the North West Regional Office of the Small and Medium-Sized Promotion Agency in Bamenda on November 28, 2023 during which equipment were distributed to the SMEs and International Labour Organisation (ILO) certificates handed over to 11 Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) consultants of the region who had been trained for over three years to accompany the SMEs. The beneficiary SMEs had been trained by the Agency for over four years in the diverse ways of food processing within the framework work of the Integrated Programme for the Valorisation and Transformation of Farm Products and Agri-food (TRANSFAGRI).
Speaking during the occasion, the General Manager of the Small and Medium-Sized Promotion Agency (APME), Jean-Marie Louis Badga said the SMEs had first of all been trained by giving them non-financial services.
