Structural Projects : Government Urged To Pursue Implementation

It is the encouragement of legislators echoed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril as he closed the November session of Parliament on December 9, 2023.


The Speaker of the National Assembly, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, has exhorted government to pursue the implementation of projects it has started by ensuring their completion. The House Speaker who was speaking while chairing the closing plenary of the November session of Parliament, noted that enterprises in Cameroon must be accountable in their respective projects, for the wellbeing of the population. In attendance was the government bench, led by Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, and members of the diplomatic corps.
That aside, the House Speaker appealed to teachers to remain calm while government continues to look for solutions to their demands. “The demands of teachers of basic and secondary education have been hitting the charts for some time now. On that score, the Head of State gave instructions, Government has taken the situation head-on and concrete solutions are being provided progressively. It is quite certain that other solutions are being sought. I am appealing to teachers, educators of future generations, to remain calm. Government authorities cannot remain insensitive to their plight,” Cavaye Yeguie Djibril stated. Noting the sensitive nature and importance of the education sector and the fact that school establishments cut across the national territory, the House Speaker said they ardently hope that government would process teachers’ files with celerity and within reasonable deadlines. “The National Assembly also looks forward to the forthcoming forum on national education in Cameroon,” he said.
