Promoting SMEs : Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Achievements

This was during the general assembly meeting that took place in Douala on December 13-14, 2023.

 


Members of the 2020-2024 mandate of the general assembly of the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce Mines and Crafts –CCIMA met in Douala from 3-14 December 2023. The two-day general assembly meeting saw elected members of the four different sections presenting a balance sheet of their activities while examining other issues about their line of activity. It came out from the general assembly that CCIMA has organized numerous promotional events for the “made in Cameroon” brand, organization of the 4th edition of the International Investors Forum (F2i), organized B2B business missions of Cameroonian business community with some international business partners including Uruguayan, Argentinian, Brazilian and Moroccan missions of recent.
The President of CCIMA, Christophe Eken, said 2023 was a better year as compared to 2022 in the realization of envisaged projects. While presenting some statistics he revealed that the execution of their activities as at October 31, 2023 stood at 74%, compared to 55% for the same period in 2022. Similarly, he went on, as at October 31, 2023, the budget execution rate stood at 75% in terms of resources, compared to 73% in 2022, and 66% in terms of uses, compared to 52% in 2022.
