Emotional Wellbeing, Self-esteem : People Told To Value Themselves

This was during a heart-to-heart talk with the Councillor and Attorney, Igxtelle Mbah Acha Dopgima last Thursday in Yaounde.


Emotional and physiological abuse is more and more rampant in the society. Even when there is no physical violence, abusive language can be very damaging to you and your children. Given that Cameroon has a growing population, the Councillor and Attorney, Igxtelle Mbah Acha epse Dopgima says there is need for people to start thinking about the power of the mind. She was speaking in Yaounde last Thursday, December 20, 2023 during a heart-to-heart talk with an audience which comprised of people from all walks of life. Discussions which lasted for close to two-hours focused on “Building Relationships and a Healthy Esteem.”
The Cameroon-born attorney, who is based in the United States of America, Igxtelle Mbah Acha epse Dopgima said the heart-to-heart talk aimed at getting people together in a bid to enable them start thinking about their emotional wellbeing. The Counsellor believes that a person’s life flows from the mind. “The ability to be excellent, professional and productive as a citizen starts from the mind”, Igxtelle Mbah Acha underscored. She revealed that the discussion kick started a series of events which will enable people to start thinking about what they are doing, the kind of decisions they take and the consequences of the choices they make in life. Addressing parents, she urged them to ensure that they are not pouring negativity into their children and not being overly critical or judgmental for this can have a long term negative impact on the child’s wellbeing. “Parents, your words have power, let your voice not be the voice of criticism into your child’s future”,...
