Indomptables Lions : Failed Game Plan

The playstyle of the Lions lacked variation and change of pace. This gave their opponents time to reposition themselves, regroup and hold the game.

Fabrice Ondoa: Sitting in for first choice keeper, Andre Onana, Fabrice Ondoa despite all attempts to stop the first goal, could not do anything in the face of his confused defense. Nonetheless, he was agile and vigilant enough in the goalpost.
Harold Moukoudi: He was part of the confused defensive band that let in the first goal. Late arrival on balls, losing most of his duels are some points that characterized his play style.
Christopher Wooh: He was right on point to delay the goal that finally was for the Guineans. But pushing away that first ball was not enough. This disappointment must have pushed him to get into his shelves being less productive. He was substituted for Oumar Gonzalez several minutes into the second half.
Olivier Kemen: Losing balls easily, always being in a haste and lack of precision foiled his efforts. Nonetheless, he made a few moves that helped threaten the Guinean opponents. He was substituted for Faris Moumbagna way into the second half.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa: Wearing the shoes of the Captain, Zambo who had been recently criticized for playing backwards, tried some forward balls. But yet, the midfield still lacked that spice to contruct play.
Franck Magri: Despite being the author of Cameroon’s lone goal in the encounter, Magri’s positioning equally posed a problem as he had difficulties to excel.
