Medicine : New Guide On Reproductive Health Available

It is a product of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) aimed at providing useful information to challenges adolescence face.

 A team from the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) under the project manager Fanny Awa has launched a manual known as "Breaking the Silence on Sexual and Reproductive Health". This publication was made public on January 26, 2024 in Bamenda in the presence of some key stakeholders.
 Doctor Ambe Lionel of the North West Delegation of Public Heath, said the manual "Breaking the Silence" is coming as a guide more particularly for parents as well as adolescents to provide them with first hand information, that is evidence-based information on the challenges that most adolescents face.  Doctor Ambe added that the manual is actually adapted for everyone to use, be it people at the level of community or learned. It is designed to provide first hand information and a guide on how to tackle challenges ,he added. 
Following a presentation delivered at the event, about 60 per cent of Cameroon’s population as at 2021 fall within this age group and are often predisposed to many risks such as early pregnancies, sexually transmissible infections, mental health, violence, drug abuse among others.
