Territorial Administration : Command Changes Hand In Fako

Engelbert Mviang Mekala was installed and charged to ensure coming Tiko airport, Limbe Deep Seaport and SONARA rehabilitation benefit the population.

Fako Division, the South West Regional territorial seat, now has a new SDO (Senior Divisional Officer) in the person of Engelbert Mviang Mekala, a Senior Administrative officer. He was installed to his new functions and presented to the population in Limbe on 25 January, 2024. He formerly served as Divisional Officer for Manyu with headquarters in Mamfe prior to his transfer by Presidential decree of 18 January, 2024. He replaces Mr. Chaibou who served at the helm of Fako for 18 months since July 23, 2022 and now moves to Nyong et Kelle Division in the same capacity.
The Governor of the South West Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, who commissioned the new SDO, tasked him to ensure a new lease of security and to enable the population to fully benefit from the sensitive and important projects expected to be realised in the Division in no distant future. As executive head of the South West Region, Governor Okalia Bilai charged the new SDO for Fako to ensure the continuity of administration injecting valuable initiatives and employing a sense of imagination to solve existing problems and those that may arise in the course of his tenure.
