Tombel Youth : Demonstrate Attachment To Nation Building

They turned out massively at the ceremonial ground on February 11, 2024 to celebrate the 58th edition of the National Youth Day with renewed vigour to contribute to import-substitution policy.


The Government Primary School field in Tombel, Kupe Muanenguba Division was jammed to capacity as youth from all the nocks and crannies of the Subdivision thronged the venue to celebrate the 58th edition of the National Youth Day on the theme “Youth; import substitution and Economic Patriotism for the Development of Cameroon.” Thousands of youth drawn from nursery, primary and secondary schools as well as vocational training institutions, associations and the youth wing of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) of Kupe Muaneguba III, answered present to honour the rendez-vous. 
The arrival of the Divisional Officer of Tombel, Leonard Nyam, at the ceremonial ground signed the start of activities with the singing of the National Anthem and the rebroadcast of the Head of State’s speech to the nation. A colourful match-past parade which saw youth from various institutions and colleges as well as youth associations of Tombel chanting patriotic songs and carrying banners with diverse messages on nation building followed.
