Fire Ravages Shops In Main Market

A fire outbreak yesterday 22 February, 2024 ravaged shops in the Bamenda main market in the North West regional capital late in the evening.

Eye witnesses said the fire started at the entrance into the market and penetrated deep inside. Some of the ravaged structures were makeshift shops built with wooden material. Contacted on telephone, the Bamenda City Mayor Paul Achobong who also went on the site of the incident said it was devastating.
