President Paul Biya : Multidimensional Personality, Actions Captured In Documentary

The one hour 23-minute film which contained testimonies from Cameroonians was premiered at the Yaounde Conference Centre on March 10, 2024.

Various achievements of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya have been highlighted in a documentary film titled "Paul Biya, A Great Statesman With A Prodigious Destiny". It was premiered at the Yaounde Conference Centre on March 10, 2024 and watched by members of government, the diplomatic corps, representatives of civil society organisations, and the general public. The one hour 23-minutes production presents full adequate account of historical facts and 23 testimonies from personalities of various walks of life who have either worked with the Head of State, benefitted from his actions or admired his decisions. While providing insights to the actions of Paul Biya who became President on November 6, 1982, the documentary also pays tributes to peace and national unity. 
Produced by a Committee which has as the Minister of Arts and Culture, Bidoung Mkpatt the Chairperson, it presents the personality of the President of the Republic, beginning from his educational to his professional career. It is presented in the form of storytelling in which students from school recount the achievements of the Head of State to their mother after classes. To the Minister of Arts and Culture, the documentary which is both qualitative and quantitative immortalises the policies of the Head of State since he ascended onto power and presents the society which Paul Biya met and the evolutions under his mandate. After presenting the history of Cameroon from colonial period to independence, and the geographical location of Cameroon, the educational and professional career of the President of the Republic is presented, with the various posts of responsibility he occupied before becoming Head of State. As per his political achievements, the documentary highlights the introduction of multiparty politics.
