Outstanding Technical College’ Inventions : Brighter Prospects For Industrial Sector

The 31st edition of the Open Business days was chaired in Buea recently by Minister of Secondary Education.

Students of Government Technical High School Molyko Buea from departments such auto mechanics, plumbing, textile and designing, woodwork among others showcased their prowess in inventions in their various sectors. They took turns and explained the importance of their works for the comfort of mankind and the advancement of the society. The students explained the numerous self-employment opportunities in their fields. The event was Open Business Days that ran for two days 14 and 15 March 2024 at the premises of Government Technical High School Molyko Buea. 
Government Bilingual Technical High School Bamenda emerged first on the national roll. The school invented a solar charcoal cooker which cooks faster thereby cutting into half the time used in cooking on other burner sources. It earned them FCFA 500,000. Lycée Technique de Bafoussam and Government Technical College Bai Foe in Meme Division were bracket on second position. Lycée Technique de Bafoussam fabricated a house lighting system whereby a voice command through a phone command the lights in different rooms and verandas to be put on/ff.
