Cameroon-UN: Nation Honours Najat Rochdi

The outgoing UN Systems Coordinator in Cameroon was on March 6, 2017 decorated with the medal of Knight of National Order of Valour during a farewell dinner in Yaounde.

The government of Cameroon through President Paul Biya has honoured the outgoing United Nations System Coordinator in Cameroon for her meritorious services during her sojourn in the country. The Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, on behalf of the Head of State, H.E Paul Biya, raised the UN diplomat, Najat Rochdi to the rank of Knight of National Order of Valour during a farewell dinner offered in her honour on March 6, 2017 in Yaounde. The UN System Coordinator, Minister Mbella Mbella noted, took Cameroon-United Nations relations to another level during her stay in Cameroon from May 14, 2013 when she arrived the country. While expressing the gratitude of the people and government of Cameroon for the commendable services such as mobilising funds for humanitarian crisis and political dialogue established between both parties amongst others, Minister Mbella Mbella wished her well in her new station in the Central African Republic, where he said Cameroon’s experience would be of utmost help to her given that the country has similar humanitarian crisis.
