African Day 2024 : African Diplomats Begin Reflections

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella chaired deliberations on May 15, 2024.
Prior to the commemoration of this year’s edition of the African Day slated for May 28, 2024, diplomats of the continent accredited in Yaounde have begun reflections to give the day the impetus it deserves. External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella had a meeting with African diplomats and reflections centred on giving a memorable celebration under the theme chosen by the African Union, “Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and relevant learning in Africa.” Basically, the meeting examined a possible agenda and activities that will be accrued out to promote the African culture, and the potentials of each country. Some nine countries have already confirmed their desire to have exhibition stands which will be provided by the Ministry of External Relations. The nine countries include, Algeria, Egypt, Central Africa Republic, Senegal, Nigeria, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire.
In his welcome address, Minister Mbella Mbella said the goal is to ensure a smooth and inclusive celebration while following the instructions of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya on the promotion of solidarity and cooperation amongst member States.
