Youth Empowerment : Multipurpose Centre Inaugurated

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, has called on young people in Bonaberi to make maximum use of the multipurpose youth development centre in the Douala 4 Subdivision. The Minister made the call in Douala on 3 September, 2024 during the official inauguration of the centre, which will provide training for young people to build their capacities in various fields. The centre, which was built by the Douala 4 Council and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, has an administrative block, a pedagogical block, classrooms and workshops, to name a few. It has as mission to offer adequate sociocultural, educational and sporting activities to youths and to ensure the methodological support in planning and realization of local and community development by youths and for the youths. In his remarks, Minister Mounouna Foutsou said the centre has come to accompany them in their quest for professionalization as it has programmes in different fields such as information and communication technology, agriculture, entrepreneurship and more. He added that the place is a proximity centre and is designed to meet the needs of the second generation.
