2025 AFCON Qualifiers : Lions November Programme Known

Namibia-Cameroon and Cameroon-Zimbabwe are billed for November 13 and 19, 2024 in Johannesburg and Yaounde respectively.


The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) on Friday November 1, 2024 published on its official social media handles, a programme containing high-profile football events of this November month. Amongst the rendez-vous, are the two matches of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, counting for the fifth and sixth playing days of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. According to the programme, the Lions play Namibia at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on November 13, 2024 and Zimbabwe in the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium Yaounde, Cameroon, on November 19, 2024.
It should be recalled that the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are already qualified for the 2025 AFCON as they top Group J with 10 points. Cameroon will thus be looking to consolidate their supremacy as they meet Namibia and Zimbabwe this month. In Garoua, Cameroon narrowly defeated Namibia 1-0 and moved on to play a 0-0 draw with Zimbabwe in Kampala, Uganda in the first and second playing days of the qualifiers. While Namibia is mathematically already eliminated with 0 points in four matches, Zimbabwe that sit second in the group with eight points, has its qualification chances alive. Thus, they will do everything to grasp all necessary points possible. Kenya, is third in the group with four points, and equally still has hope of qualifying for the final phase of the Africa Cup of Nations billed in Morocco.
