Douala Economic Forum : Third Edition Opens Today

The event, which will take place from 11 to 15 November, will bring together economic operators from within and outside Cameroon.

The third edition of the Douala Economic Forum promises to boost economic activities and open up new horizons for economic operators in Douala and beyond. For five days, economic operators will have the opportunity to brainstorm and network for better economic opportunities. The 2024 edition will be held under the theme, "Transport logistics and real estate as elements of the economic attractiveness of the city of Douala with an anchorage on the promotion of import substitution in the territories".
Speaking at the latest preparatory meeting, held at the Douala Sawa House in Besseke on 9 November, the General Coordinator of the Douala Economic Forum, Olivier Kingue Molli, said that everything was in place for a successful event. "It will be a question of restoring Douala to its position as the pole par excellence for the distribution of local and sub-regional economic activity, by highlighting the driving sectors of distribution, such as the port, the airport and the railway, in addition to road links. It will then be necessary to answer questions relating to the efficiency, competitiveness and performance of these engines, which are the city's natural assets, in order to make it increasingly attractive, he said".
