Football: Lions Resume Training In Belgium

One month after the Gabon expedition, the Indomitable Lions are fine-tuning their skills in Belgium ahead of two international friendlies.

The national football squad the Indomitable Lions began training yesterday in Belgium ahead of two international friendly matches against Tunisia and Guinea Conakry. The training programme which runs till March 28, 2017, comes up barely one month after the victory of the Indomitable Lions at the 2017 AFCON in Gabon. Cameroon will play against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Monastir on March 24, 2017 and the Syli National of Guinea in Brussels on March 28, 2017.
The Cameroonian delegation comprising officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical education and FECAFOOT, as well as security, medical and technical staff are already in Belgium. Even though Cameroon won the Africa Cup of Nations, the friendly encounters will serve as preparation for upcoming World Cup qualifiers which are soon to begin and other international competitions.
The 23 players called to camp arrived in Belgium yesterday with Benjamin Moukandjo as team captain. According to the programme the Lions will have two training sessions today at Diegem in the outskirts of Brussels. The first will take place at 10...
