He was appointed Deputy Secretary General at the National Assembly in charge of Legal Affairs on January 24, 2025 by the House Speaker, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
The National Assembly has a new Deputy Secretary General in charge of Legal Affairs, in the person of Sakwe Martin Elangwe. The appointment is contained in a bureau order signed by the House Speaker, Cavaye Yeguie Djribil on January 24, 2025. He replaces Godwill Okia Mukete.
The newly designated Deputy Secretary General is a Grade Four Magistrate who graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM). Prior to his appointment, Sakwe Martin Elangwe, who is equally a Second-class chief at Ekombe Bonji, was interim Advocate General, Procureur General’s Chambers in Buea.
Born on August 24, 1962, the native of Mbonge subdivision, Meme Division of the South West Region, graduated from the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Yaounde, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree. He also studied at the Cameroon College of Arts and Science in Kumba and the Bilingual Grammar School in Yaounde.
