The club from the South Region thrashed the Yaounde-based club 4-0 in the day 12 match of the championship that took place in Odza, Yaounde on Friday March 14, 2025.
Dja Sport of the South humbled Awa FC of Yaounde 4-0 in one of the day 12 matches of the Guinness Super League that took place at the FECAFOOT Training Centre in Odza, Yaounde on Friday March 14, 2025. The match counted for the first playing day of the second phase of the Guinness Super League championship after the one-month break. It was an exciting encounter as fans were on their feet throughout the game cheering the teams.
Dja Sports Academy began by dominating the game from the start. However, they lost some of the scoring chances. The Awa FC ladies equally put up a strong fight but they also squandered their chances. Dja Sports benefited from the porous defence wall of Awa FC and scored three goals during the first half. Both teams separated at half time on a 3-0 score margin in favour of Dja Sports Academy. On resumption, Dja Sports Academy continued with the onslaught. The visitors put more pressure upfront creating panic in defence of Awa FC. Awa FC came back from the break much stronger and full of determination to turn the tables in their favour. But they could not stand the wrath of the Dja Sports ladies. The visitors were able to increase scores thanks to the porous defence wall of Awa FC. Substitution made by the coaches did not help much. All efforts by Awa FC girls to reduce scores failed.
