Ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Eswatini and Libya, the Cameroonian players were expected to begin arriving the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde yesterday.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon begin camping today, March 17, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde, in preparation for the crucial fifth and sixth match days of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Cameroon currently leads Group D with eight points. Libya and Cape Verde trail by just one point, while Angola sits two points behind, underscoring the fierce competition within the group. With only the top team from each of the nine African groups guaranteed direct qualification, and a potential tenth spot available via intercontinental playoffs, every point is vital. Sources indicate that the Lions are scheduled to depart for Nelspruit, South Africa on Tuesday March 18, 2025, to finalize preparations for their match against Eswatini on Wednesday.
