Peace Ambassadors : Over 50 US-Based Cameroonians Honoured

This was during a ceremony chaired by the Ambassador of Cameroon to the USA on March 8th, 2025 in Maryland.
Over 50 Cameroonians based in the United States of America have been honoured and celebrated at an award-winning ceremony for their outstanding contributions to community service both in the U.S.A and back home in Cameroon in different domains in society. The event, which took place within the backdrop of the 59th National Youth Day, was held under the patronage of the Ambassador of Cameroon to the USA: H.E. Henri Etoundi Essomba, at the Hilton Hotel in Rockville, Maryland, on March 8, 2025. The ceremony served as a milestone in strengthening the engagement of Cameroonian youth in the Diaspora. The event was organized by the United Council for Youth Empowerment (UCYE) and the Cameroon Diaspora Youth Network (CDYN): both youth-led organizations committed to empowering young Cameroonians.
Cameroon’s Ambassador to the United States, was represented at the event by Minister Counsellor at the Cameroon Embassy in Washington, D.C, Eugene Defang.
