Muslim Pilgrimage: Preparations For Hajj 2017 Begin

The National Hajj Commission held its 30th session in Yaounde on March 22, 2017.

The National Hajj Commission in charge of organising the Muslim religious pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia every year, has already started preparing for a hitch-free Hajj 2017.
Territorial Administration and Decentralisation Minister, René Emmanuel Sadi who is the chairperson of the National Hajj Commission on March 22, 2017 in Yaounde chaired its 30th session devoted to evaluating Hajj 2016 and preparing for the pilgrimage in 2017.  It was the first session of the Commission after the 2016 pilgrimage. Opening deliberations, he told Commission members that permanent evaluation was necessary and useful  for it is an occasion to draw lessons from the previous event, consolidate achievements, as well as make necessary readjustments and improvements.
