FENASSCO League B Games : Centre Region Leads Provisional Medal Table

At press time yesterday, the region counted five gold and one silver medal but the battle kept on intensifying especially as the competition ends today in Limbe.
As of yesterday April 16, 2025, the Centre Region was leading the provisional medal classification table at the ongoing National FENASSCO League B Games in Limbe. They had won five gold medals and one silver. They were followed by the host, South West Region with three goal, two silver and three bronze medals. Far North Region is on the third position with two gold, three silver and two bronze. At press time yesterday, Littoral was the only delegation still to win a medal.
All the playing grounds through Limbe Community Field, Limbe Centenary Stadium, Limbe Omnisports Stadium and SONARA School, were all as busy like a beehive. Athletes could be seen playing basketball, football, volleyball among others. Captivating at the SONARA School was a game called goalball. It is a Paralympic discipline specifically designed for visually impaired athletes. It is a game played in a handball court with three players on the field. Eight regions registered for the goalball discipline with five players and a coach each.
At the playing ground was a team of the Cameroon National Paralympic Committee (CNPC). They said they came to support para-athletes that are participating specifically in Paralympic disciplines. They came with a lot of prizes for the visually impaired. Mbieh Rebecca Mbilufeh of CNPC said they came with everything that the visually impaired need in the classroom. They brought white canes for guidance, braille machines and school bags. Apart from the prizes, CNPC indicated that it will detect those with raw talent and monitor them through primary school, secondary...
