Cameroon-Korea Cooperation : Framework, Other Issues Reviewed

This was during an audience between Minister Felix Mbayu and the Korean Ambassador to Cameroon, Nam Ki-Wook yesterday May 22, 2025.

Bilateral relations between Cameroon and Korea have reviewed at the Ministry of External Relations. This was during an audience the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, granted the Ambassador of Korea to Cameroon, Nam Ki-Wook on May 22, 2025. In the course of the audience, the two personalities exchanged views on the cooperation framework guiding bilateral cooperation and reciprocal support for the candidacies of each other within international organisations.  
“I am honoured to have had a meeting with the Minister and we have exchanged on bilateral and multilateral issues. The Minister and I shared our views on areas of common interest. So far, our two countries have continuously developed our relations and there are still more things to do to further this relationship. On bilateral issues, our two countries have a cooperation framework on development,” the Ambassador stated.  More specifically, on bilateral issues, the Minister and the Ambassador talked about the visa exemption accord recently established by the two parties. Indeed, there is a legal instrument which lays down the conditions for exemption on the request for visas from entry, residence, transit and exit purposes for nationals of either countries holding diplomatic, official or service passports for a maximum period of 90 days from the date of entry.
