International Cycling Tour of Cameroon : 18 Cyclists To Defend National Colours

The athletes from three selections will represent Cameroon in the competition that runs from June 4 to 15, 2025.


With barely a week to go until the start of the highly anticipated 2025 International Cycling Tour of Cameroon, the nation's 18-strong contingent of cyclists has been officially announced. They are currently in Maroua, the capital of the Far North Region, to finalize their intensive preparations. The athletes spread across three selections; the National Team, SNH Vélo Club, and Espoir Team are poised to defend the national colours against formidable opponents from across the world.
The National Team, under the guidance of Sports Director Lucas Feutsa, will be captained by Michel Boris Tientcheu. He will be joined by a robust lineup including Bissa Badodja, Ivan Njonkoué, Yvan Essoua, Joël Zang Ondoa, and Yaou Gadji. This squad brings a mix of experience and promising talent to the national colours. The SNH Vélo Club, a powerhouse in Cameroonian cycling, is led by Martinien Tega and boasts an impressive roster. Headlining their charge is the iconic Clovis Kamzong Abossolo, who is captain. Kamzong Abossolo is a reigning champion of Cameroon, the yellow jersey winner of the 2024 Tour of Cameroon, and ranked among the top 10 best African cyclists in 2024. He will be supported by Rodrigue Kuéré Nounawé, who secured the yellow jersey at the Tour of Côte d'Ivoire in 2024, alongside Fabrice Chofor, Stève Ngueguim, Jérémie Kossoko, and Aurélien Achetkuenyinyi. 
The Espoir Team, guided by Hervé Raoul Mba is brimming with emerging talents. It features Mekem Tsakou Jordan as captain, accompanied by Franck Hippolite Kamga, Justice Ngah, Ibrahim Mohamet, Harold Fotsing, and Moussa Oumarou.
