Reconstructing NW/SW Regions : Prime Minister Evaluates Progress Today

The Prime Minister and Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, will today May 30, 2025 chair the sixth session of the steering committee of the Presidential Plan for Reconstruction and Development for the North West and South West Regions (PPRD-NW/SW). The meeting is scheduled at the Buea Mountain Hotel. He will look at the evolution of the Plan in both regions in terms of infrastructure, economic empowerment, retuning of internally displaced persons to their communities, among others. Firm recommendations will be arrived at after today’s meeting. The North West and South West Regions are progressively witnessing serenity and thus giving way for the implementation of the plan.
Ahead of today’s event, the Prime Minister and his delegation were received at the Moungo Bridge yesterday. On hand to receive him was South West Regional Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilia, alongside other administrative and traditional authorities. Militants of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) from all the Sections in Fako Division also mobilised to give the Head of Government a warm welcome.
