Bravery, Protecting Territorial Integrity: Efforts Of Police Officers Appreciated

Minister Felix Mbayu, on June 3, 2025 received and encouraged the officers on the strides to maintaining peace and security in the country.
At the behest of the Delegate General for National Security, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, on June 3, 2025 received some two Police officers at his cabinet, in appreciation to their services rendered as concerns protecting the territorial integrity of Cameroon. This was in the presence of the National Coordinator of the National Committee for Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration, Fai Yengo Francis, and the Director General of Customs, Edwin Fongod. In essence, the genesis of the audience stems from a video that later went viral on social media, of a military parade in Yakadouma in the East Region on May 20, 2025. In the video, the belt of a male Police officer is seen falling during the march-past and the lady behind him in a very tactful manner, lifts up the belt with her leg and it immediately lands on the shoulder of the officer in front of her. This gesture gained admiration from the population, as well as authorities. Upon seeing the video, Minister Mbayu contacted the Delegate General for National Security to express his appreciation and the desire to receive the two officers.
