Elite One: Eding Sports Maintains Lead

Day six matches of the National First Division Championship were played across the country last weekend.

Eding Sport Academy has maintained its leadership position on the classification table of the 2017 National First Division Football championship. This was the outcome of the day six matches that were played across the country last weekend. It was a hitch-free competition with all the clubs determined to win.
In all, seven games were played with a total of 16 goals scored and one draw was recorded at the end of the sixth playing day. Eding Sport of Lekié recorded its first defeat since the start of the national championship after losing 0-1 to Yong Sport Academy Bamenda. In spite of the defeat, Eding Sport is still topping the classification table with 13 points. The club is followed by UMS Loum with 12 points. UMS 12 beat Dragon Yaounde 2-1 to grab the second position while Dragon occupies the third position with 11 points. Stade Renard is fourth with 10 points and Aigle Dschang Fifth with 10 points.
