Harangada Josiane Golonga was crowned Miss Cameroon 2025 in a glamorous ceremony, on July 12, 2025 in Yaounde.
In a breath-taking spectacle of elegance and poise, Harangada Josiane Golonga, Miss Far North, was crowned Miss Cameroon 2025 on July 12, 2025, in Yaounde. The ceremony, held under the patronage of the First Lady, Chantal Biya, was a masterclass in sophistication and glamour. The presence of the First Lady infused the event with an aura of refinement and prestige, while the competition itself showcased the rich cultural tapestry of the country, highlighting the importance of women's empowerment and celebrating the country's diverse heritage. After a mesmerizing display of talent and beauty from 20 captivating contestants representing all ten regions of the country and diaspora, Miss Far North emerged as a stunning frontrunner. Her crowning as Miss Cameroon 2025 by Mrs Chantal Biya was met with a standing ovation, marking a truly unforgettable moment in the country's beauty pageant history.
On that enchanting evening, the Yaounde Conference Centre was transformed into a haven of beauty and elegance, its decor perfectly capturing the essence of the event. As the clock struck 7:00 p.m., esteemed guests, including members of government, began to arrive, adding to the excitement. The First Lady's entrance, resplendent in chic red attire, infused the event with an extra layer of glamour, signalling the start of the competition.
The evening's festivities were expertly hosted by Pascal Pierre Bengono and his co-hosts, who guided the live and online audience through the thrilling moments. Pascal Pierre acknowledged the organising committee, COMICA, and its Founding President, Solange Amongou, for their outstanding efforts and dedication. He emphasised that the competition which was at its 18th edition celebrated not only physical beauty but also the values and intelligence of women, under the theme: “Training and Socio-Professional Empowerment of Women.” The host noted that the theme was particularly apt, as it encouraged reflection on and support for the growth and flourishing of women's talents in the country.
The contestants then took to the stage, showcasing their beauty and elegance in a series of stunning presentations. They strutted down the catwalk in swimwear, day attire, and evening gowns proudly featuring Cameroonian fashion brands.
