PFL Africa Semifinals: Cameroonian Fighters Chase Glory

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Maxwell Djantou Nana alongside four other compatriots will step into the ring together with their African peers at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda.
The inaugural Professional Fighters League (PFL) Africa reaches its semifinals this weekend, featuring five fighters from Cameroon. Three are competing for a spot in the final, while the other two will participate in alternate bouts. Maxwell Djantou Nana, Octave Ayinda, and Emilios Dassi are the three Cameroonians vying for a ticket to Benin, where the final is scheduled for later this year.
In the heavyweight division, Cameroon’s Maxwell Djantou Nana (7-1), who impressed fans in Cape Town with his powerful strikes, will face South Africa’s undefeated Justin Clarke (3-0), who eliminated Nana’s compatriot Jashell Ticha Awa in the first round. Welterweight action highlights Angola’s Shido Boris Esperança (10-1) against Cameroon’s unbeaten Octave “Bantu Warrior” Ayinda (7-0), who dominated his previous opponent with a first-round TKO. Another pivotal welterweight bout features Emilios Dassi (5-1), a rising star from the Francis Ngannou Foundation noted for his knockout power. He will face GuineaBissau’s Yabna “The Panther” N’tchala (12-2).
