The 8th Conference of the Baptist Women’s Union of Africa for Central Africa ended in Douala recently.
On the theme: “Arise, shine” (Isaiah 60:1a), over 800 women and 200 men and youths convened on Akwa, Douala, from Angola, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon.
Cameroonian women from the Cameroon Baptist Convention, CBC, the Native Baptist Church of Cameroon, NBC, the Union of Cameroon Baptist Churches, UEBC and the three Baptist churches that are members of the Cameroon Board of Protestant Churches, CEPCA, also took part.
The women met to examine how to live and spread the gospel through practical activities and seek solutions to the challenges faced since the conference last held in Angola in 2013. Participants were empowered to impact lives within their families, nations and the world, with the goal of contributing to the downfall of forces of darkness. Besides, exchanges, meditation and sharing marked the conference.
