GCE 2017 : Late Candidates Taking Advantage Of Extension

 The lone centre for continuous registration in the South West, at BGS Molyko, continues to receive candidates.

Registration for the 2017 exams organised by the Cameroon General Certificate Examinations Board (GCE) continues at the lone centre for the South West Region at the Bilingual Grammar School Molyko with candidates trickling in for last minute opportunities.
The Centre’s Principal, Mrs Mbua Hannah, had deployed efforts convincing parents that exams must be organised normally this year during Parent-teacher-Association meetings that she called weeks ago. With the Minister’s extension order published last week many candidates are taking up the opening to make hay while the sun shines. At the Government High School Buea Town, last April 3, 2017, many parents were witnessed rushing in to pay for their children’s registration. Such cases from neighbouring schools have to take the registration to the lone centre for the South West which is the BGS Molyko to finalise entries for the exam this year.
The various school authorities remained reticent to release registration figures likewise the GCE Board claiming that they shall tally such data by the 15th April when registration finally closes by the instructions of the Minister of Secondary Education. Minister Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe w...
