Results : CPDM, Majority Winner

From the published results of the regional supervisory commissions, pending post-electoral petitions, the Cameroon People’s Democratic Party leads in all ten regions.

Results of the November 30 polls for the elections of regional councillors across the national territory are all known. Going by the results made public by the various regional supervisory commissions, charged with the responsibility of doing so, the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) holds majority seats in all the ten regions. This however, is pending the management of post-electoral disputes, should there be any. 
By interpretation, even the Adamawa Region that was controlled in the first mandate by the National Union for Democracy and Progress (UNDP) will now be controlled by the CPDM. This means that elected Presidents of Regional Councillors will all be of one party. 
This does not however translate to the fact that the CPDM is the lone party that will be represented at the Regional Councils. It might be the case in some regions like the North West, South West, East, Centre and South Regions, where almost just a single political party participated in the polls, alongside traditional rulers, but not across the national territory. In some regions like the North, the Regional Council will be shared by three political parties. Besides the CPDM, there will be the National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP) and the Popular Front for Development (FPD).
