End of Year Activities : Local Authorities reassure Population

This was during the regional coordination meeting that took place from 17- 18 December in Douala V.
In a proactive effort to ensure governance and ensure public safety, local authorities convened an administrative coordination meeting at the Douala V subdivision council.
The two days meeting from 17- 18 December, chaired by Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, was aimed at evaluating government actions over the past six months and set plans for the upcoming year. The regional coordination meeting is crucial for assessing government’s initiatives in the field and ensuring the effective execution of the budget. The meeting was also a moment of evaluation which allows for identifying successes and addressing shortcomings across various administrative sectors.
During the session, officials reviewed the achievements of local administrations and highlighted the need for continued vigilance, particularly as the region approaches the festive season. The governor of the Littoral region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, pointed out that security measures must be prioritized to ensure that the population can celebrate without fear. “We must ensure our region is safe during the year-end festivities and into the New Year”, he stated.
