Cannes 2017: Pan-African Films On Exhibition

Ahead of the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival scheduled from 17 to 28 May 2017, fifty films from 30 African countries have been screened within the Cannes Pan-African Film Festival. The goal is to present and showcase the broad spectrum of Black creative works; particularly those that reinforce positive images and help destroy negative stereotypes and also to enhance the economy of the Pan-African cinema. After 13 years of existence, the Cannes Pan-African Film Festival has linked its activities with a marketplace: The Pan-African Exhibition, is a place where all parts of the cinema industry are available on show.
