Education: Teachers Trained On New Pedagogic Approach

A one-day workshop to this light was organised yesterday by Cosmos Education Press Ltd. 


Within its 2017 corporate social responsibility, Cosmos Education Press Ltd yesterday, April 11, 2017, trained a score of Anglophone and Francophone teachers on the New Pedagogic Approach in secondary schools which is best described as “a learning by doing approach.”
During the opening of the workshop, it was reported that last year, Cosmos Ltd Cameroon donated books and paid fees for underprivileged children in some parts of the country. This year, the General Manager of Cosmos Education Press Ltd, Emmanuel Atem, said they decided to teach trainers of learners on government’s new teaching approach which is currently being implemented in the country. 
Focus during the workshop was in three areas, English as a first and second language and French as a second language. Through Cosmos Cameroon, the capacity of national pedagogic inspectors was enhanced in teaching and learning on various subjects, while providing didactic materials and scholarships to pupils and students in Cameroon
The new pedagogic approach gives the opportunity for any learner to develop skills and competences to do whatever he/she has to do. With this approach, a student does not need to memories lessons but have to be the centre and focus during any classroom experience or teaching process. After Yaounde, Cosmos Education Press Ltd will move to Douala in the Littoral Region, Buea in the South West Region and later Bafoussam in the West Region.
