The Cadet Lions beat Uganda 1-0 on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in Rabat after losing to Côte d’Ivoire in their opening match.
The Cadet Lions of Cameroon have rekindled their hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinals of the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations and securing a berth at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026; thanks to their 1-0 victory over Uganda on May 16, 2026. The win at the Mohammed VI Football Complex was crucial after their opening- day defeat to Côte d’Ivoire. Cameroon entered their second Group B game against Uganda seemingly under pressure, aware that any slip could revive the disappointment of their first-round exit at the previous AFCON. They responded by playing with heart and intensity, giving their best in every action.
