SDF At 36: Celebrating Resilience

A message from the National Chairman, Joshua Osih to party comrades prides the political outfit for its principles over the years.

On May 26, 2026, the Social Democratic Front (SDF) celebrated its 36 years of existence across the national territory. The political party that is represented both at the National Assembly and Senate, was launched on May 26, 1990 in Bamenda, North West Region. A message of the National Chairman Joshua Osih to party comrades in particular and Cameroonians in general, notes that they are celebrating 36 years of courage, sacrifice, resilience and hope. He called on party members to work harder, organise better and move forward faster and with discipline, solidarity and an unshakable commitment to serving both the Social Democratic Front and the nation. According to the National Chairman. Truth in politics must always be remembered: a well organised minority always becomes the majority. Through his message, Joshua Osih congratulated all party members and officials who turned out massively wherever possible, during the 20th May National Day celebrations. “Your patriotism, discipline and your presence made us proud. You rekindled hope in the hearts of many Cameroonians,” partly read Osih’s address on the anniversary of the party. With regards to the upcoming municipal and legislative elections, the Chairman said it is more than ever necessary to assess their capacity to mobilise, unite and move forward as a strong team capable of meeting up with the aspirations of Cameroonians.
