Senator Tabetando Ndieb Nso: Parliamentarians Honour Legacy

Legislators paid their homage to the departed on June 11, 2026 during an event chaired by the Senate Vice President, Mochiggle Vanigansen.
Senators and Members of Parliament (MPs) at the National Assembly have paid their last respects to the late Senator Tabetando Ndieb Nso, who died on April 21, 2026 in Yaounde after an illness. This was during parliamentary honours organised by the Senate on June 11, 2026 and chaired on behalf of the Senate President, by the Vice President, Mochiggle Vanigansen. Prior to the honours was the confining at the Yoaunde General Hospital Mortuary in the presence of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, amongst other dignitaries. In the eulogy of the President of the Senate, read by Senator Mochiggle, the departed Vice President represented the institution with great tact at the national and international scene, especially those of the Commonwealth, and was always ready to set in to represent the President of the Senate at both happy and unhappy moments. “As Vice President of the Senate, he leaves behind a legacy marked by steadfastness for the defence of the Republic. He also leaves the legacy marked by political loyalty in the CPDM and also marked by conviction as a devoted Catholic Christian. In short, he leaves behind an image of a multifaceted man whose common foundation remains his attachment to the Republic, the South West Region, Manyu Division and his Bachuo-Ntai village,” partly reads the tribute in honour of deceased Senator Tabetando Ndieb Nso who was amongst the pioneer Senators since the creation of the institution in 2013.
