South West: Senator Tabetando Laid To Rest

At the Mamfe ceremonial ground last weekend, he was praised for his stewardship for the State and humanity.

Deceased Senator Nfor Tabetando Ndiebnso is now resting in his native Bachuo Ntai village in Manyu Division of the South West Region where he was the traditional ruler. He was buried on June 13, 2026 with the Vice President of the Senate, Mochiggle Vanigansen representing the Senate President, Aboubakary Abdoulaye. The burial came after honours accorded to him at the Mamfe ceremonial ground. In attendance were personalities. In his tribute, the presiding officer (Senator Mochiggle Vanigansen) recalled how Senator Tabetando was among the first batch of legislators to the inaugural session of the institution in 2013. He progressively grew until he became Chief Whip of the CPDM Parliamentary Group in 2017 in law-making House. Senator Nfor Tabetando carried his role with selfless devotion which earned him a re-election in 2018 and 2023. He said their fallen colleague steadily established himself as one of the pillars of the Senate until he become the second Vice President of the bureau. Professor Elvis Ngole Ngole who led the CPDM Central Committee said he was deeply touched with the passing of Nfor Tabetando. He pointed that the deceased served their party (CPDM) faithfully in various high positions and contributed enormously for its success in the South West Region. Speaking on behalf of Manyu elite, Prof. Echu George praised the open door policy of the late Senator Nfor Tabetando to all sons and daughters of their Division.
