Cameroon’s Digital Leap: 300 Youths Certified

The closing ceremony of the 2025–2026 session of the D-CLIC digital training initiative took place on Wednesday June 24, 2026, in Yaounde.

The Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training(MINEFOP) in partnership with the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF), officially closed the 2025–2026 session of the D-CLIC digital training initiative on Wednesday June 24,2026, in Yaounde. The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 300 young Cameroonians equipped with highly demanded tech skills. The intensive programme, launched in late 2025, provided specialized training in strategic domains such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence-assisted design, and web development to bridge the local digital divide. Speaking at the ceremony, the Secretary General at the Ministery of Employment and Vocational Training, Forchap Predence, emphasized the structural impact of the initiative stating that “in today’s global economy, digital skills are an essential prerequisite for economic participation. This programme aligns perfectly with our National Development Strategy (SND30) to modernize our workforce. Investing in youth is investment in the stability and future prosperity of Cameroon.” The technical success of the training session was heavily driven by local collaboration.
