Yaounde Women Race: Preparations Hot Up

The eighth edition of the Yaounde Women Race (COFEY) will take place on April 23, 2017. The President of the Cameroon Association for Sports and Development, Louisette Renée Etame Ndedi, granted a press conference in Yaounde on Thursday April 14, 2017.
Speaking at the part occasion, Louisette Tobi said over 600 women from all walks of life are expected to take part in the race this year. She said the main objective is for Yaounde inhabitants to know that every two years they can go for screening and leisure. She explained that this year the organizing committee is involving young girls from schools and colleges because they are the veterans of tomorrow.
The 10km race will take place along some major streets of Yaounde. Registration is currently going on in Yaounde. During the competition free screening exercises for cancer, diabetes and hypertension, among others will be organised at the May 20 Boulevard as from April 19 to 22, 2017.
