The rescheduled Cameroon General Certificate of Education, GCE examinations ended on July 2, 2026. Without hitches.
XThe rescheduled Cameroon General Certificate of Education, GCE examinations officially concluded on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The session was ordered by the Minister of Secondary Education, Prof. Nalova Lyonga, who suspended the initial continuation of the exams following massive online leaks of examination questions. Two weeks after that decisive intervention, principals, delegates, and administrative officials from across the country are reporting a highly secure, well-organized, and ultimately successful completion of the national session.
Calm, Orderly Conclusion
The examinations drew to a close with Ordinary Level Religious Studies administered during the morning session. In major accommodation centers - such as Saker Baptist College, Limbe in the South West Region, candidates spent their final four hours rigorously sitting for Papers 1 and 2, finishing by noon.
Reports from various regions point to a hitch-free final day. In Buea, Yerima Samnson Tata, Principal of Summerset Bilingual College, confirmed that the session ended smoothly, though some students noted that the revised question papers presented a formidable academic challenge. Similarly, at the Pinnacle of Success Academy in Ekoumdoum, Yaoundé, center statistics compiled by Dr. Nalionge Maximillianus Ewoko, the Principal, revealed a profound transformation in candidate behavior. Officials noticed heightened focus, superior time-consciousness, and strict discipline.
Out of 273 registered candidates at Pinnacle center, only three absences were recorded over the two-week block. A similarly stellar turnout was documented in the North West Region. Where the Regional Delegation for Secondary Education reported a 99% attendance rate on the final morning. With 409 out of 413 registered GCE Ordinary ...
