Public Independent Conciliator N/W: Institution Celebrates Five Years Of Achievements

T he Office of the Public In­ dependent Conciliator for the North West Region has celebrated its five years of existence. This was during the An­ nual Governance Fair in commemo­ ration of the fifth anniversary of the functioning of the institution. The event brought together regional authorities, elected officials, and partners of the institution. The Secretary General at the North West Governor's Office, Saidouna Ali saluted the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the im­ pact the institution has created in the region. In his address the Public Independent Conciliator, Tamfu Simon Fai said the institution has become a reco­ gnised avenue through where citi­ zens seek justice, dialogue and ac­ countability without fear or favour. It should be noted that it was on June 10, 2021 that President Paul Biya appointed the pioneer Public Independent Conciliator for the North West and one month later (July 8, 2021) the appointed official, Tamfu Simon Fai solemnly took the oath to faithfully discharge the respon­ sibilities entrusted on him.
