South West: Land Forces Chief Galvanises Troops

Major General Saly Mohamadou on July 14, 2026, undertook an inspection visit to Buea during which he held an in-camera meeting with operational unit heads.

T he Land Forces Chief of Staff has paid a working visit to the South West Regional capital, Buea where he met with operational unit heads. Major General Saly Mo­ hamadou arrived Buea on a chilly weather accompanied by the Com­ mander of the 2nd Joint Military Re­ gion, Brigadier General Gabriel Tobie Ngolo Ngomba. Received by the Commander of the 21st Motorized Infantry Brigade, Colonel Manuel Enye’e Meka, the Chief of Staff after reviewing the troops who mounted the guard of honour, proceeded to the conference hall of 21st BRIM where he held an in-camera working session with top land forces perso­ nal in the region. Though no information filtered out of the working session, Cameroon Tribune learnt that the Land Forces Chief of Staff was mainly for an ins­ pection and evaluation of field ope­ rations visit. During the session, operational command heads presen­ ted reports highlighting situation on the ground.
