Ecumenical Diplomacy: Collaboration With Anglican Church Evaluated

This was during an audience External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella granted the Archbishop of Canterbury, Her Grace Sarah Mullally yesterday August 4, 2026.
B efore leaving for the Yaounde-Nsimalen Interna- tional Airport, the last public meeting the Archbishop of Canter- bury, Her Grace Sarah Mulally had during her five-day pastoral visit to Cameroon, was with the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella, yesterday August 4, 2026. Termed a courtesy call to the Ministry of Ex- ternal Relations, the ceremonial head of the Anglican Church world- wide and the Minister evaluated the state of collaboration between government and the religious insti- tution. The Head of the Church of England made no public statement after the audience, but her counte- nance (smiles) indicated a sense of fulfilment with discussions held and possible prospects in the hori- zon. She was accompanied to the about 20 minutes audience by the British High Commissioner to Came- roon, Matt Woods. Her main mes- sage throughout her visit in the country, was on peace and compas- sion. The Centre, South West and Littoral Regions are the three loca- lities she visited, communing with Christians, children and the popula- tion.
